Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
Time: Close to an hour & a half
Servings: depends on how big you slice it :)
‼️what you need:
•3 RIPE bananas
•2 cups flour
•1 tbsp baking powder
•1 tbsp baking soda
•1/2 tsp salt
•1 tbsp milk of choice - we’ve used both reduced fat & almond & both are great
•1 tsp cinnamon
•1/2 cup white sugar
•1/2 cup brown sugar
•1/2 cup butter (room temp)
•1 tsp vanilla
•2 eggs (or egg replacer of choice - I’m using bobs red mill egg replacer && it’s FAB!)
•1 cup chocolate chips (we use semi sweet but use what you want!)
💕what to do:
•preheat oven to 325 F
•Combine: flour, powder, soda & salt - whisk together - put to the side
•mash bananas, then add milk, cinnamon & vanilla - put to the side
•in a stand mixer - using whisk attachment - beat together sugar & butter for 3-5 minutes until well combined
•add egg (or substitute!) to butter/sugar & beat until light & fluffy - 2-3 minutes
•remove the bowl from mixer & add banana mixture - hand mix together until nicely combined
•slowly, add flour mixture & hand mix together until barely combined
•add chocolate chips and mix until those are well distributed throughout batter ( do not over mix!)
•put into a glass loaf pan (buttered or however you like to grease it!) and put into the oven for 75-85 minutes until toothpick comes out clean! I like to do it around 80 minutes :)
