Apple Butter Pork Chops
Time: Truly Unsure - I would guess around 35-45 mins?
Servings: 4!
‼️what you need:
•4 Pork Chops
•2-3 tbsp of oil - divided
•salt & pepper
•1 onion - thinly sliced
•1 honey crisp apple - thinly sliced
•1/2 tsp ground sage
•1/4 tsp thyme
•1/4 tsp rosemary
•1/4 cup of apple butter
•1/2 cup water (or chicken bone broth would be SO yummy too!)
•1 tbsp of dijon mustard
**side options to serve it with: we used rice which was great! Mashed potatoes would also be amazing or a salad base!
💕what to do:
•Salt & pepper both sides of the pork chop well
•over medium-high heat add your oil to a pan & get it hot
•cook your pork chops until 145 internal temp! I cooked on each side for about 5-7 minutes (mine were thick!) and then continued to flip at 2 minute intervals until they were cooked
•once cooked, remove from skillet and cover with foil
•add more oil and then put onions, apples, thyme, sage & rosemary seasonings into the skillet
•saute for 4-6 minutes and try to scrape all of that flavor off of the bottom of your pan!
•while those are sauteing, in a bowl combine: apple butter, water & mustard, stir until well combined
•once apples & onions are ready, add your sauce & stir well.
•add your pork chops back in and over low heat let simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chops are nice and covered :)
