Oven Fried Okra
Roasted Garlic Balsamic Honey Brussels
recipe below!! Oven fried okra - my most requested recipe to date! Yall - watch til the end to see how much Cleo loves it 😂 we make this at least once a week now - super easy & delicious.
You won’t even believe how easy!!!! One bowl & one cookie sheet!!
What you need for okra:
1 package of fresh okra
@chosenfoods avocado spray oil
1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
1/4-1/3 shredded parm cheese
To your taste - salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder
What to do:
So - I washed the okra & preheated oven to 375. Then patted the okra super dry & cut them lengthwise in half (removing the top hard part) (or in small circles) up to you. Put those in a bowl and pour avocado oil (start with 1/2 tbsp - you want them coated but not soaking wet!) on them & stir until all are coated. Then dump about 1/4 a cup of breadcrumbs, (to your taste) onion powder, garlic powder & salt. Then some parm cheese (about 1/4-1/4 I like mine cheesy!) (grated is preferred!). Then stir until every piece is coated! Put on pan with each piece facing down! This is the key to getting them nice & crispy!
Pop in oven for 25 mins - start checking around 17-20 to make sure they aren’t burning (every oven is different!!) 🥰🥰🥰
The comeback sauce I measured with my heart 😂 but guesstimate below:
What you need:
2 tbsp Egg from mayo from @hellmannsmayonnaise
1/2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp of hot sauce
1/2 tsp of sriracha
1/2 tsp of bbq sauce
1/4 of a lemon juiced
Salt, pepper, garlic & onion powder to taste! Mix all together & pop into the fridge until your okra is ready!
